How to freeze and unfreeze holds

You can freeze a hold if you don't have time to read the book right now. You'll keep moving up the wait list while it's frozen. If you reach #1 on the wait list, you'll be first in line to get the book once it's unfrozen.

To freeze all your holds:

1. Click or tap .
2. Select All Settings.
3. Select Holds (under "General").
4. Next to "Hold state," select Active.
5. Choose how long you want to freeze your holds, then select Update all holds.

To freeze just one hold:

1. Go to .
2. Select Holds.
3. Select Options.
4. Select Edit hold.
5. Select Active next to "Hold state."
6. Choose how long you want to freeze the hold, then select Save changes.

To unfreeze a hold:

1. Go to .
2. Select Holds.
3. Select Options.
4. Select Edit hold.
5. Select Frozen for... next to "Hold state."
6. Select Active, then select Save changes.
